ASSESSMENT PREPAYMENTS FOR THE FLORIDA RESILIENCY AND ENERGY DISTRICT

PACE ASSESSMENTS

The Florida Resiliency and Energy District levies and collects voluntary Non-Ad Valorem assessments. A PACE Assessment is a voluntary special assessment on the property tax bill that is used as repayment of an improvement on the property through the use of PACE Financing. This website is used to process prepayments for the Florida Resiliency and Energy District.

  • Home Run Financing, financed with PACE Funding Group.

SUBMITTING A REQUEST

Request must be submitted online using the Prepayment Request Form below.  

  • All requests are processed within three to five business days.

  • Expedited options available on form. 

  • Upon submission and processing an official prepayment request document will be attached as a .pdf and sent via email to the "Requested by Email" address submitted on the form. The .pdf document will include information on the prepayment amount, valid through dates and instructions for sending the payment.

  • The two methods of payment are via bank wire transfer or check. 

  • Any payments received will be sent an email as confirmation of payment. 

  • If this request is part of a Home Sale or Refinance please carefully read our Home Sale and Refinance Information for details on how this will affect the upcoming Tax Bill. 

  • A processing fee will be collected per prepayment at the time of form submission. 

IDENTIFYING FINANCE INFORMATION

A property with a PACE Assessment has a summary of the financing recorded in the public record of the property county. The summary will also include information on whom financed the PACE Assessment. ​

Documnent Fees

DOCUMENT PROCESSING FEE DISCLOSURE

Payoff Request

 

Payoff processing includes two documents:

  1. Payoff Payment Request; Payment Instructions and account information. 

  2. Satisfaction of Assessment; Document recorded with the county to release the lien from the property after reconciliation of full payment.

 

Processing Options:

  • Standard: Processed within 3 to 5 business days require a $50 fee. 

  • Expedited: Processed within 2 business days, excluding holidays require a $70 fee.

 

 

 

Paydown Request

 

Paydown processing includes two documents:

  1. Paydown Payment Request; Payment instructions and account information. 

  2. Estimated schedule of annual assessment installments; Outlines the paydown reduction of principal and interest along with the estimated schedule of new annual payments that will be posted on the property tax bill.

  • Standard processed within 3 to 5 business days require a $25 fee.

 

SECURE PAYMENT of fees are processed by iATS. Payment processing by iATS provides an encrypted, secure connection between your web browser and a web server. ​Accepted form of payments: Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

NOTICES

2023 Tax Bill

A request after June 1st will not remove or alter the assessment amount due on the 2023 Property Tax Bill. The PACE Assessment amount on the property tax bill must be paid accordingly.

 

Payment Confirmation

An email confirmation of funds received will be sent to the requestor upon the Florida Development Finance Corporation receiving notification from the Banking institution. Please allow seven to ten days for payments to be processed.

The "Bond Call Date" documented on the payoff request will determine the date the account will be eligible for an official Satisfaction of Assessment to be recorded with the assessed property county. 

Overpayments

Overpayments amounts larger than $100 will be refunded no later than June 30th. The Annual Assessment Administration Fee and current Annual Tax Collection Administration Fee are not refundable.

 

Underpayment

Payments that are less than the scheduled payment amount may result in additional interest due and an outstanding balance remaining on the account.​

HOME SALE OR REFINANCE  - INFORMATION

PREPAYMENT REQUEST

JULY 1 TO OCTOBER 31

HOME SALE OR REFINANCE

Please be advised that all request received between July 1 to October 31 will include one remaining installment payment for the PACE Assessment on the upcoming November Property Tax Bill, and cannot be amended. The Property Tax Bill must be paid accordingly. 

What does this mean?

  • This payment is paying off the PACE Assessment in full AND will have one installment due through the Property Tax Bill creating an overpayment. 

  • The PACE Assessment will be completely removed in the 2024 Property Tax Bill. 

What happens with the overpayment?

  • Upon receiving the PACE Assessment through the property tax bill and a reconciliation of the account, overpayments in the amounts larger than $100.00 will be refunded no later than June 30th. The Annual Assessment Administration Fee and current Annual Tax Collection Administration Fee are not refundable. 

How to request an official payoff document? 

Complete the Online Prepayment Request Form and pay the processing fee online. 

HOME SALE DISCLOSURE FORM

Home Sales require a disclosure form be completed:

  1. Download the form: Home Sale Disclosure 

  2. Fill in the "Title Company Acknowledgement" section of the form including the forwarding address and contact information for the seller.

  3. Send the form for signatures to the seller(s) and buyer(s) . 

  4. Send the completed form with all signatures to info@fdfcbonds.com

What does this mean?

  • The payment received on the 2023 Property Tax Bill will be credited to the property owner. 

  • Upon receiving full payment a Satisfaction of Assessment will be recorded in the public record and the PACE Assessment will be completely removed in the 2024 Property Tax Bill. 

What needs to be done to receive the Payoff Request Document?

Complete the Online Prepayment Request Form and pay the processing fee online. 

CURRENT TAXES UNPAID

HOME SALE OR REFINANCE

What does this mean?

  • There is no credit available from the current Property Tax Bill. 

  • The request will be processed by collecting the full amount due AND does not remove the installment payment due on the upcoming November 1st Property Tax Bill creating an overpayment. 

  • The PACE Assessment will be completely removed in the 2024 Property Tax Bill. 

  • Upon receiving the PACE Assessment through the property tax bill and a reconciliation of the account, overpayments in the amounts larger than $100.00 will be refunded no later than June 30th. The Annual Assessment Administration Fee and current Annual Tax Collection Administration Fee are not refundable.
